This distance is best for families. It is challenging yet smooth. All age groups are allowed in this stretch. It is ideal for beginners and is the most preferred by travellers. It covers a distance of 9 Kilometres and takes a total time of 1.5 hours approximately. The charges are INR 450 per person. Brahmpuri to Rishikesh is the Grade I Rapid.

Shivpuri to Rishikesh

This route generates one of the best obstacles with rapid grade 2 and 3. This stretch is good for people looking for thrill and pleasure. It covers a distance of 16 Kilometre and takes 3 to 3.5 hours to complete. It costs INR 650 per person.

Marine Drive to Rishikesh

Marine Drive to Rishikesh has a total of 4 rapids on the way. This distance is electrifying as well as difficult. It has rapid Grade levels 2 and 3 and mounted rapid acceleration. The stretch covers a distance of 24 Kilometre and takes about 4.5 hours to finish. The cost is INR 850 per person.

Kaudiyala to Rishikesh

This route has the most challenging ride. It is only meant for professionals. This route has level 4 and 5-grade rapids. It covers a distance of 34 Kilometres which takes about 8 hours and a lot of courage to complete. It’s also the most costly rafting range charging INR 1800 per person.

Tips For Visiting Rafting in Rishikesh 

The first thing to keep in mind before going for river rafting is that you are not required to know swimming to do water rafting. Some things to keep in mind before jumping in for the adventure sport are:

  • Pack some spare clothes, shoes, and clean towels as you might get drenched.
  • Your guide will pack your essentials such as keys and mobile phones in a waterproof backpack to save them from the water.
  • Wear your usual T-shirt, shorts or pyjamas.
  • Try to pre-book your rafting.
