Mangos are one of the most famous fruits in the world. They are also astonishingly good for you. First grown in India over 5,000 years ago, their benefits involve the reduced prospect of certain types of cancer, reduced risk of macular degeneration, and development in bone health, digestion, skin, and hair.

One study backed by the United States Department of Agriculture and the National Mango Board pointed out that people who consume mangos frequently manage to have an overall better nutrient intake and overall quality of diet.

Mangos are tasty and versatile. While there’s nothing truly like eating a fresh mango and letting the juice drip down, there are many recipes that use mangos in fun, delicious, and bizarre ways.

Here is one such recipe:

Mango guacamole

Mango can make anything extra tasty, even guacamole. This recipe explains that simplicity is key.

If you’ve never made your own guacamole before, it’s super simple! All you need are a few staple ingredients, a bowl and a fork, and you’re on your way to the best dip EVER. Here are the classic guac ingredient staples you need:

  • ripe avocados
  • lime juice
  • cilantro
  • salt

One of the great things about guac is that you can really make it your own by adding spices, sweetness, and different fruits and veggies.

Go on and get crazy with what you slap your delicious guac on. Some of our favourites include:

  • Eggs (try topping our dill salmon scramble with your fav guac.)
  • Sweet potato
  • Toast (like this strawberry avocado and white cheddar toast!)
  • On a sammie
  • Bowls (would be amazing on these cilantro lime shrimp bowls)
  • Tacos (soooo good on these ahi tuna tacos)
