Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi 8 in India. The Redmi 8 seems to be almost similar to the Redmi 8A that launched in the previous month. The Redmi 8A sells at a starting price of Rs 6,499. Redmi 8 is slightly expensive than the Redmi 8A.
The Redmi 8 launches base model starting at Rs 7,999 with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The model with 4GB + 64GB Redmi 8 variant is priced at Rs 8,999. As a special offer for selling 100 million smartphones over the past 5 years, Xiaomi will give the first 5 million units of the Redmi 8 4GB + 64GB variant at Rs 7,999.
The Redmi 8 goes on sale on October 12 at 12am on Mi.com, Mi Home and Flipkart. The Redmi 8 comes in three different colours Sapphire Blue, Onyx Black, and Ruby Red.
The phone has a 6.22-inch full-screen display with an HD+ IPS display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The Redmi 8 is powered by the same processor that runs the Redmi 8A. The phone comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
